Black Hat Music Studio

Black Hat Music is a full-featured multi-track recording and production studio located in Medford, MA. Owned and operated by multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer Josh Cohen, it was designed to provide professional results at a fraction of the cost of larger studios.

A ten year veteran of the the professional music community, having worked with artists such as Guster, Jay-Z and Jars Of Clay, Josh built Black Hat with the goal to make great recordings available to those on a budget.

With this goal in mind, Josh consulted with several A-list music professionals. It became clear that the best way to accomplish this was to keep overhead as low as possible. After months of research, the studio was built in Josh's house with the highest-quality gear for the greatest value. It is also easily scalable to accommodate all of our client's needs.
